This policy governs all sales, warranty claims, freight shipments, returns, exchanges, and transactions completed through Japan Direct Japanese Auto Parts Inc.

• Products must remain in original condition and packaging
• Items must not be disassembled, altered, abused, or improperly installed
• Proof of purchase or original invoice is required for all claims
• Shipping, labor, installation, diagnostic, towing, and transport costs are non-refundable
• Refused or returned shipments are subject to a 35% restocking fee plus all freight charges
• Returned items sent freight collect or COD will be refused

Orders may only be cancelled before shipment processing begins. Credit card, PayPal, financing, and payment processing fees are non-refundable.

Warranty coverage begins on the confirmed delivery date according to carrier tracking information.

• Replacement transmissions: 30-day start-up warranty unless otherwise stated
• Performance engines: Sold as-is without warranty unless otherwise stated
• Performance transmissions: Sold as-is without warranty unless otherwise stated
• Rotary engines (13B / 20B / RX series): Sold without warranty 
• Front-end conversions and body parts: Sold as-is without warranty
• Suspension components: Sold without warranty unless otherwise stated
• Cosmetic items including tail lights, steering wheels, interior trim, seats, exterior panels, and appearance accessories: Sold without warranty
• Electrical accessories and electronic components: Sold without warranty unless otherwise stated

Engines and transmissions sold by Japan Direct Japanese Auto Parts Inc. are imported used components sourced from Japan.

Due to the nature of imported JDM drivetrains, exact mileage cannot be verified. Suppliers generally estimate these units to have approximately 60,000–90,000 KM at the time of removal.

Mileage is not guaranteed and should be treated as an estimate only. By purchasing a JDM engine or transmission, the customer acknowledges and accepts that actual mileage may vary.

Warranty coverage applies strictly to internal lubricated engine and transmission components only.

• Crankshaft and bearings
• Connecting rods and bearings
• Camshafts and valvetrain components
• Timing chains and timing gears
• Internal oiling components
• Internal transmission components
• Engine block, cylinder barrels, and cylinder heads

Engine blocks, cylinder heads, and cylinder barrels are guaranteed to be free from cracks and structural distortion that would prevent normal operation.

External accessories, wearable service items, cosmetic components, and convenience accessories are not covered under warranty unless specifically stated otherwise in writing.

• Wiring and harnesses
• Belts, hoses, seals, and gaskets
• Water pumps and pulleys
• Starter motors and alternators
• Axles, mounts, and linkage components
• Tail lights, headlights, steering wheels, seats, trim panels, dashboards, carpets, and cosmetic interior or exterior parts
• Plastic trim pieces and appearance components
• Oil pan dents or cosmetic transport damage
• Clutches included with transmissions

Included accessories are provided for convenience only and may require servicing, replacement, or adjustment before installation.

• Engine or transmission is internally disassembled
• Improper or negligent installation procedures
• Insufficient oil supply or lubrication failure
• Engine overheating
• Racing, drifting, track use, or competition driving
• Unauthorized modifications or tuning
• Use of nitrous oxide, turbocharging, or supercharging where not factory equipped
• Improper maintenance prior to installation
• Vehicle ownership transfer after installation
• Warranty period expiration

In the event of a defective engine, transmission, cylinder head, or block, the following documentation is required:

• Detailed written mechanic report
• Photos and videos of the defective component
• Certified mechanic contact information
• Copy of mechanic certification
• Original invoice or proof of purchase

Japan Direct Japanese Auto Parts Inc. reserves the right to inspect, repair, replace, or deny claims at its sole discretion.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping, freight, removal, installation, and diagnostic costs related to warranty claims.

Replacement units or approved claim resolutions are processed only after inspection and approval of the returned item.

Large freight items including engines, transmissions, front clips, drivetrain assemblies, and body conversions ship through commercial freight carriers. Smaller items including tail lights, ECUs, shocks, suspension components, steering wheels, and accessories may ship through parcel courier services.

• Commercial deliveries may require forklift or loading dock access
• Residential freight deliveries are curbside service only
• Liftgate service may be required for residential freight deliveries
• P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO addresses are not supported
• Inspect all shipments before signing delivery paperwork

We do not currently provide standard shipping service to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or certain remote/offshore regions.

Customers located in remote or special service areas should contact us directly before purchase for custom freight arrangements and availability confirmation.

• All sales are final unless otherwise approved in writing
• Deposits hold inventory for up to 30 days
• Remaining balances must be completed within 30 days of deposit
• Unpaid orders may be released without notice after the holding period
• Customers are responsible for verifying compatibility before purchase
• Japan Direct Japanese Auto Parts Inc. is not responsible for emissions or smog compliance regulations

Japan Direct Japanese Auto Parts Inc. shall not be held responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from loss of use, inconvenience, commercial loss, towing expenses, rental expenses, labor costs, downtime, or any other consequential damages associated with the purchase, installation, or use of our products.
